In the last weeks I've had several friends have their computers taken
over by Viruses, Worms and Trojans. Some had no protection at all and others simply couldn't afford to update their subscriptions. In one case the person had never even visited Micro-soft Update to get critical patches needed for Security Issues.

One thing you've got to realize is if your computer is not protected you can end up giving your security problems to others. Some Viruses mail themselves to everyone in your e-mail adress book.
